We are looking for an individual to support IFSA’s programmes throughout Ireland as a Student Experience Coordinator. This position provides academic and cultural support for undergraduate students; organises co-curricular activities and contributes to the overall operations. In this position, you will work closely with all members of the local team, as well as colleagues from our sites in the Europe, the Global Health & Safety Team, Programme Operations, Academic Programmes and Student Engagement teams.

JOB AD CLOSED - IFSA Dublin - Student Advisor

A vacancy has arisen for a full-time student advisor to work in a busy study abroad office for the Institute for Study Abroad, IFSA, in Dublin. You will be a member of a small team acting as the initial point of contact for primarily US students who are spending a semester studying at university in Ireland.

You will provide the students with support throughout their time here. The position is suited to someone with first class customer service skills and an ability to order competing demands in an organised and professional manner. Excellent computer skills are essential.

The post requires previous experience of providing administrative support and assistance within a similar working environment. The role requires someone who can work well with others in a friendly, approachable manner. The candidate should be flexible and open to change and be able to meet all deadlines, including during busy periods.

Part of this role involves planning short term study abroad programs and overseeing those programs while they are in Ireland. Overnight travel within Ireland is required, as is some evening and weekend work (overtime pay applies). The role also involves sharing coverage of an emergency pager approximately one week out of every four. The candidate will be a university graduate and will have played an active part in campus life while studying at university.
